加強非華語學生中文學與教
Strengthening Chinese teaching for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students
本校積極配合教育局的政策,於本年度增設多項措施支援非華語學生學習中文,解決他們學習中文作為第二語言時面對的困難,並建構共融校園。
In adherence to the policy set forth by the Education Bureau, our school has introduced a number of measures this year to support NCS students in learning Chinese. These measures aim at minimising the difficulties these students face when learning Chinese as a second language, and building an inclusive campus.
支援服務(Support services offered):
協作教學(Co-teaching):
安排老師及教學助理入班進行調適協作教學,增強非華語學生對授課內容的理解。
We help NCS students to understand lesson content more thoroughly by arranging teachers and teaching assistants to co-teach them with materials adapted to suit their level.
抽離學習(Pull-out classes):
部分非華語學生的中文作文課及默書課會進行抽離學習,教師針對不同學生的弱項加以指導,藉以提升教學效能。
Some NCS students’ Chinese writing and dictation classes are operated as pull-out classes. Teachers will guide different students according to their areas of weakness, improving teaching effectiveness.
課後支援(After-school support):
於課後及長假期開設中文及功課輔導班,協助非華語學生完成功課,提升中文學習能力。
After school and during long holidays, Chinese classes and homework tutorial classes are arranged to assist NCS students with their homework and improve their Chinese language skills.
朋輩支援(Peer support):
舉辦「伴讀大使計劃」,以一對一方式,由華語學生協助非華語學生溫習默書及閱讀圖書,藉以增強非華語學生的朗讀、認字及閱讀能力。
We are introducing the “Reading Ambassador Programme”, in which Chinese speaking students pair up with NCS students one-to-one to revise dictation and read Chinese books, so as to enhance NCS students’ Chinese word recognition and reading skills.
共融活動(Inclusive activities):
舉辨參觀日,讓非華語學生認識及了解中國文化及香港的本土特色。
We are holding outings to allow NCS students to learn about Chinese culture and the local characteristics of Hong Kong.
